Want to save money on power bills?
It's easy to save on your power bill, and as an investment a solar power system offers a better return that any investment I know of other that Gold.
It's the 1st of September, spring time, and well it's been 2 years and 5 months since we installed our first solar system, a 1.5kw system·grid connect system·. The total system cost was $3,515 including meter board work, and savings to date are $2,684. With savings of in excess of $100 a month up to $140 a month it is a no brainer. Where else could you get payback in 3 years, particularly with complete financial security safety. If you have money in the stock market try adjusting the value of your portfolio for inflation. The majority of you will find you have gone backwards.
So be smart, sell your shares, dig into that super and put a solar system on that meets if possible 100% or more of your needs, year round. You won't go wrong, in fact as the power bills rise you will be an even bigger winner. Better still it is 100% tax free income, so go back and recalculate you true investment returns.·

When we started electricity cost us 24 cents a kilowatt hour now it's 34 cents, a staggering 41.66% increase in electricity costs is just over 2 years, with more rises planned for next year. Power Price rises are a reality.
Did I mention our second off the grid system is saving us money too. By taking some of our power needs off the grid, we are saving between 1 and 2 kilowatt hours a day, a minimum of 34 cents a day at the moment but next year it will be ???? I have plans to expand this system so we can take our entire office off the grid and be blackout independent! The payback on this system is 10 years at 24 cents a kilowatt hour, but that is already history we now pay 34 cents, a good estimate is 5 years again better that the stock market.
Electricity costs will continue to rise, it will be a case of generate your own power or use less for most families. If you haven't made the move yet, it's time! Invest in your future with your own power, Solar or wind power, It's the way to go.
